When Northern Reptile was established in 2004 my goal was to create a reptile specialty shop devoted to proper care and maintenance of all types of reptiles and to actually reproduce all offspring sold out of our facility. At that time my reason for running my business this way was to continue my own personal knowledge on breeding and maintenance of rarer species to ensure strong outcrossed genetics in the future and provide the public with quality captive bred offspring and the appropriate knowledge to ensure the care and well-being of each animal that leaves us.
In 2010 I am following the same beliefs that started Northern Reptile and taking our experience in other avenues starting in 2009 with Komodo Exotics, a reptile enclosure company dedicated to creating species specific enclosures designed to mimic natural habitat as close as possible. We are also expanding into many other avenues committed to keeping reptiles as healthy as possible in captivity. All backed by research done by us. More, now than ever, I am compelled to focus on a natural approach on reptile propagation. With the decimation of natural habitat and the rapid decline of species worldwide, I feel it important to focus on the future of our hobby to ensure it has a future. Good luck in the 2011 breeding season.
